FAQs
The cost for one-to-one swimming lessons may vary depending on factors such as the number of sessions, the level of instruction required. Please contact us for a tailored quote that reflects your specific needs, whether it’s for a single lesson, a term booking, or intensive sessions in their holiday program.
The one-to-one lessons cater to a wide range of ages, from children through to adults. We recognise the unique needs and abilities of different age groups. For young children, private lessons might focus more on building water confidence and basic skills, while for older children and adults, the emphasis might be on refining techniques or mastering specific strokes. These private swimming lessons are adaptable, and designed to meet the individual requirements of each swimmer, regardless of their age.
One-to-one swimming lessons at Just Swimming offer several benefits. Firstly, these lessons provide personalised attention, ensuring that the teaching is tailored to the individual’s learning style and pace. This personalised approach is particularly beneficial for learners who may need extra help with specific strokes, or for those who thrive in a distraction-free environment. Additionally, private lessons can be more flexible in scheduling, allowing for a customised learning experience that can adapt to the swimmer’s skills. This individualised attention leads to faster progress and a better understanding of swimming techniques.
Each one-to-one swimming lesson at Just Swimming is structured to last for 30 minutes. This duration is ideal for maintaining the learner’s focus and energy, especially for younger children. It’s long enough to cover significant ground in terms of skill development, yet short enough to prevent fatigue and loss of concentration.
The ideal frequency can vary based on individual goals, skill levels, and the pace at which the learner is comfortable. Some may benefit from multiple lessons per week, especially if they are preparing for a specific event or looking to rapidly improve their skills. Others might prefer a weekly lesson to steadily progress over time. The flexibility of one-to-one lessons means that the schedule can be tailored to suit the individual’s needs and availability
Due to the context in which One-To-One Lessons operate, Just Swimming is unable to provide make-up lessons when a student is unable to attend these lessons.
Just Swimming will apply a credit to students who miss One-To-One Lessons in the case where participants have completed the following:
- Upon presentation of a medical certificate a credit will be provided for any missed lesson provided a minimum of two (2) hours’ notice has been provided.
- Cancellation of lessons due to a non-medical related reason with less than seventy-two (72) hours’ notice of cancellation of a lesson there will be no credit applied.
- More than seventy-two (72) hours’ but less than seven (7) days’ notice of cancellation of a lesson a credit of 50% will be applied.
- Seven (7) days’ notice of cancellation of a lesson a full credit will be applied.
Just Swimming offers various types of one-to-one swimming lessons, catering to different needs and skill levels. These include lessons for children and adults, ranging from beginners to more advanced swimmers. The lessons can focus on general swimming skills, specific strokes, or targeted areas like improving technique or building confidence in the water. Additionally, we offer intensive sessions through the Big Splash Holiday Program, which is designed to fast-track skill development.
